Client / Brand: KANAL 9
Project type:  CHANNEL IDENTS (branding)
Year:  2009
My role: Art direction
Scope:
For Dallas Sthlm, we developed a winning pitch for a new channel identity built around the idea of television as a space to unwind.
The concept explored subtle disruptions of the everyday world. We removed something that would normally be essential to a scene, while allowing everything else to continue as if nothing had happened. The result was imagery that initially felt calm, familiar and completely natural — but contained a quiet impossibility.
The intention was never to make the idea immediately obvious. Instead, the identity was designed to reward repetition: something you could watch several times before suddenly noticing what was missing and realizing that the scene could not actually exist as presented.
By combining a relaxed visual atmosphere with understated surrealism, we created a channel identity that felt calm and unobtrusive on the surface, while giving the viewer a small moment of discovery underneath.
